Midan Fire carry out sprinkler installations to Residential and Domestic properties to BS9251.
Our design engineers have attended and passed the Xact course BS 9251 Sprinkler system design and so understand the legislation and codes of practice including the identification of occupancy and category requirements, we look at the location of and positioning of sprinkler heads to keep the property aesthetically pleasing whilst still confirming to the regulations, the sprinklers have specific design densities which we use to calculate pipe sizing, water supplies requirements, connections to town main and pump requirements. Our detailed design plans are issued prior to commencement of works and these contain loss calculations which identify the most favourable and unfavourable areas, the selection of water supply, pump curves and tank calculations, plan of the site together with pipework routes, pipe sizing, bracketry and sprinkler head positions. We also indicate any electrical and alarm requirements involved in the sprinkler system design.
Our installation engineers are knowledgeable in legislation, codes of practice and guidance documentation, they understand sprinkler system design and installation together with requirements for commissioning and maintenance of the sprinkler systems. They have practical skills in CPVC pipe installation and carry PASMA, IPAF and CSCS skills cards for specific to sprinkler fitting.
We are adept at working on a construction site and to us this is standard practice however the very nature of residential sprinklers means that work also takes place in your home, we are considerate of this fact and take care to ensure we tidy up after ourselves and leave people’s homes clean and tidy at the end of the working day.

Upon completion of the project we issue our commissioning documentation which includes as built drawings of the installation, test and commissioning certification together with information on the maintenance requirements of the sprinkler system.
